GEOLOGIC MAPPING FOR WATER QUALITY PROJECTS IN THE UPPER IOWA RIVER

The Iowa Geological & Water Survey's three-dimensional
geologic mapping for the Upper Iowa
River Watershed is now available in digital format. The
report and associated GIS coverages describe the bedrock "plumbing
system" of the watershed and how it relates to the subsurface
movement of contaminants to groundwater and streams.

The Iowa Geological & Water Survey has completed a mix of
quadrangle and county-scale geologic mapping projects in Adams,
Black Hawk, Scott and Worth counties. All maps are new
mapping projects with the exception of Adams County which is a
compilation map. The maps are now available in digital format. To access,
